Shane Valentino, a graduate of Occidental College and SFAI’s experimental film program, began his career as an art director on feature films, including Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins, Alejandro Agresti’s The Lake House, and Sofia Coppola’s Somewhere. Valentino served as Production Designer on Mike Mills’ Beginners and on Ryan Murphy’s Emmy-winning The Normal Heart for HBO. Valentino received a BAFTA nomination for Tom Ford’s Nocturnal Animals and was the Production Designer for F. Gary Gray’s Straight Outta Compton, Andrea Berloff’s The Kitchen and Aaron Sorkin’s film, The Chicago Seven. He has worked commercially for brands such as Chanel, Apple, Rolex, Audi, Armani and BMW for directors like Gus van Sant, AG Rojas, Vince Haycock, Eliot Rausch, Cole Webley and Dan DiFelice.
